Some dates are subject to change if a scheduling conflict arises. If that is needed, as a group we will decide together on a new date for that class.

Middletown Sound Healing Training Certification

Welcome to the world of sound! Sound healing is a practice that uses different sound frequencies to promote healing and relaxation in the body and mind. It involves instruments like singing bowls, gongs, drums, and so many more that are believed to resonate with the body’s energy centers, aiming to restore balance and well-being.

Sound Healing training involves learning the principles and techniques of using sound for therapeutic purposes.

Here’s how our Middletown Sound Training series works:

We will begin with Foundations of Sound, and each month we will offer another training focusing on different areas of sound healing. (Classes listed below) All to include a complete understanding of the history, use, techniques and benefits of singing bowls, gongs, drums, chimes and many more sound healing instruments. There will be a LOT of valuable information in these classes, and you will leave with a great understanding of the world of sound!

Foundations of Sound will include: An introduction to the many instruments of sound healing, the history of Sound and how sound healing works, the many benefits of sound therapy as well as the spiritual significance and science behind sound healing – and so much more. You will have the opportunity to listen to and play a large variety of sound healing instruments during this class. 
This Foundations class is the first of six sound training classes offered at Middletown Sound.

Over the course of 6 months (6 classes), you will learn how to use/play singing bowls (both metal and crystal), gongs, various drums (including the ocean drum), rain sticks, tuning forks, chimes, to only name a few! -you will learn how to use different instruments for your own well-being as well as how to offer one on one sound sessions for others, and how to offer a sound bath using many instruments, for larger groups. Including how to work with others in a sound bath environment. We will also cover how to get started if you’re interested in offering sound professionally. 

This training is No pressure, no stress—just thoughtful guidance and support at your own pace.

This training includes a set of three crystal singing bowls, yours to keep! 

You will receive your set of singing bowls upon completion of payment. If payment is made in full in the beginning, you will receive them during the singing bowl class. If it is made monthly, you will receive them at the end of the final class!

ALSO included is a comprehensive guidebook/training manual that is yours to keep. At the start of the Foundations class, you will receive a binder with the Foundations chapter.  Each additional class you will receive another section to add to your book, and by the end of the training your book will be complete. You may use this book to take notes if you wish, and it is yours to keep as reference in the future. We will go over some of what is in the book during each class. Each class will have time for both discussion and practicing with the instruments..

Once you have completed all six classes, you will receive your certification in Sound Healing.

Each class will be approximately four hours long and will be held 11-3pm. You will have a lot of opportunity to play and practice with a large variety of sound healing instruments!  Laura will guide you through different techniques and styles! Since our training time is over ‘lunch’ time, please bring lunch or snacks and a drink. Middletown Sound has a refrigerator and microwave for your use. Water and tea, are provided.

Pricing for Middletown Sound Healing Training is as follows:

Regular pay as you go rate for complete program: $1200 (made in 6 equal payments of $200 per class)

To receive the completion certificate of a total of 24 hours of Sound Training, and to receive your three crystal singing bowls -you will need to complete all 6 classes. (If for any reason you have a scheduling conflict with any dates -we will be offering all of these classes on rotation, so there will be other opportunities to take any class that gets missed)

BONUS: ALL students who have taken this series, are welcome to join in on any future classes in this series (if space allows) free of charge! This means, if by the end of each class you still feel you need more time to practice or simply wish to sit in on a class for a refresher, you can! Discussions always seem to bring about different information class to class, so there is always something to learn. Again, There will be no fee for returning students of this series. If you just want practice time, (and not sit in on the discussion part) - You can practice in a separate area while we are in the talk time.
